形態特徵

A tall deciduous tree up to 17 m high.
Leaves odd- or even-pinnate; petioles 2–2.5 cm long; leaflets 10–13, oblong-ovate, 6–9 cm long, 2.5–3 cm broad, variable in shape and size, acuminate, oblique at base, serrulate, glabrous on both surfaces, the lateral veins 10–12 pairs, inconspicuous above, slender and raised beneath; petiolule 2–3 mm long.
Inflorescence of terminal panicle, glabrous, to 25 cm long; flowers monoecious or polygamous, yellowish, about 5 mm across; sepals 5; petals 5, glabrous, oblanceolate or oblong, claw; stamens 7 or 8, filament pubescent; ovary superior, pubesecent at base, 3-celled.
Capsule rose-colored, bladder-like, inflated, about 4 cm long, loculicidally 3-valved. Seeds globose, about 5–7 mm across, black.

台灣 : In broad-leaved forest at low altitude.
